Which tests should I take in order to apply to Cascadilla School?

No tests are required in order for admissions, but if you have taken the SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test) or the SLEP (Secondary Level English Proficiency Test), you should forward them to the School.

If you are not a native speaker of the English language, however, you are required to take local and state proficiency assessments once you have enrolled at the School.

How does Cascadilla select the students it admits?

Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee which is made up of members of the faculty, administration, and alumni.

When will we be notified of our admissions decision?

As the Admissions Committee meets weekly, you will be notified within 3 to 4 weeks.

Is there a minimum age for application?

We offer an academic program for all students who are old enough for grades eight through twelve. The minimum age for boarding students is normally fifteen. Younger students may be admitted as boarding students on an individual basis given their level of maturity and ability to live independently from their parents.
